About me

I’ve played clarinet for a long time, and had lots of great experiences with lots of different people. The music I like to make sits somewhere between jazz, modern classical, maybe even ambient or noise or something like that. I like to make music with people who like to think and talk about music and who have lots of different influences and experiences. I’m not exclusively an improviser, but improvisation informs most of what I do.

Here’s a very short bio, as good as any: Jesse Canterbury (clarinet) has played and composed new music for years, focusing mainly on improvised music, avant-jazz, and new chamber music.
